Red Haired Boy, also known as The Little Beggar Man has always been one of my favorite melodic banjo tunes. I have several different treatments of the tune but one I like the best involves lots of triplets. This gives it a more Celtic feel and is a nice change of pace from straight eighth notes. Usually played in the key of A, the banjo capos at the second fret with the fifth string tuned to A. In upcoming issues I will post more variations of this great standard. Enjoy...
